Forgot to post these. We went to Parker Days with the Dickinson’s and there kids the weekend before our family vacation. It was super hot that day, but we enjoyed some shopping and drank a few cold ones in the beer garden.
This week has been overwhelming for Mama! Arlin Jack has done a lot of things for the first time this week. Such as;
Tuesday morning Captain Jack graduated from the army crawl to the sprint relay crawl-one arm in front of the other over and over again as fast as he can! Yes, mama cried while watching in amazement.
Arlin is also cutting his first two teeth on the bottom!
And as you all can see in these pictures Arlin eats Brother’s BBQ mashed potatoes for the first time! Papa gave him a whole cup of em’! He couldn’t eat em’ fast enough and he wasn’t thrilled when Papa said…
“All Done!”
We haven’t found a single food that the Captain doesn’t like. I guess that’s a good thing right?! I am anxious to see how much bugger weighs these days.
I know it’s Arlin’s blog, but had to post a few of Mama’s new do! I got 8 plus inches of hair cut off yesterday…and I LOVE it! I was really nervous at first because my hair has been super long since my freshman year in high school… But I thought it was time for a change since everything in my life is so good! Chad loves it…I’m happy I did it!
Yesterday we went for Arlin’s 4 month check up, poor guy had no idea what was in store for him. First the weigh in- our little guy is 17 pounds. Then the body measure- bugger is 26 inches long. Then the noggin measure, wow, 17 inch diameter! (Master Arlin Jack is 90th percentile in all measurements!)
AND then doom doom doom… four shots in the legs! Ouchy! One second Arlin was smiling, cooing, totally flirting with the two nurses and immediately after the pricks two on each side of his thighs he was the color of a lobster and boy was he mad at them! A cry that made Mommy’s stomach turn upside down. But it only lasted about two minutes and by the time I got him dressed he was smiling again…he really is such a good baby.
This was little mans first nap on his tummy. He normally never rests his head when he’s on his belly, but his puppy wore him out! He has been mesmerized by this little white puppy from my Dad and Shelly. He pulls it down from his changing table ledge daily to give it slobbery kisses!

What a big boy! Look at him sitting by himself! Geez…I have to remember he is just three months now, but he is getting so big so fast! I measured him and he is 25 inches long and he weighs in at 16 pounds! These pictures are especially for great grandma Betty. I had tears in my eyes when I put little man in this adorable cable knit jumper-( a present from grandma Betty) She would have loved and have squeezed Arlin so tight! We miss you grandma!
Arlin in his new cap from Papa! Papa had to buy this for the little guy. I couldn’t help but laugh it was size 12 months…Yep, our little guy’s noggin is pretty big!
Arlin is getting so big and holding his head up so well for almost three months old.
True Love, one of the cutest tees in Arlin’s wardrobe, a custom creation of Abby’s! Look at the chubby cheeks, and arms! My little guy weighs almost sixteen pounds now. He can sit upright in his seat and interact with us and his toys. Everyday he does something new to amaze me. Today he pulled his pacifier out of his mouth and put it back in three times, I had to do a double take each time!
Burnout Paradise…my boys playing video games. Funny, I can’t tell if Arlin really looks just like his papa or if it’s just the same hair do. Or should I say lack of papa’s hair, that makes them look identical. Chad and mini-me. Geez I love you guys.
And the photo shoot begins! I am desperate to get that one great shot for the X-mas cards were ordering on shutterfly. So, I made sure little man ate. Then I gave him a bath and got him all dressed in his Christmas gear from Aunt Patty. Every time I dress him up I can’t get over how cute he is! I know… I’m partial here 🙂 So, we’re on photo number 30 or so and Mr. Arlin decides that’s a wrap! He is so over it. I think I tried to many poses. And lately it seems all little man wants to do is eat. Well that and sleep!
* sidenote- notice in the bottom picture, Otis is tugging on Arlin’s booty… I swear he thinks every shoe of Arlin’s is a chew toy! It’s only funny for a minute till I can’t find one of everything.
