marshmellow- blue

Monday, December 31st, 2007

Aunt Patty sent us this cute little leisure suit! It gave us all a few laughs. Alrin looked like a little blue marshmellow in it! But it was extra warm and a perfect outfit to take little man to Boulder for the day. We went on a hunt for a quilting fabric shop that my mom spotted in a quilter magazine, they supposedly had really cool vintage reproduction fabrics, but we lucked out- they were closed when we got there. Oh, well…we still had fun in downtown Boulder we ate lunch at the Rio and walked around the outdoor shopping area for a bit.

Keepsake

I picked up this keepsake at Target, thought it would be fun for Chad, my Mom and I to do with Arlin over the holidays. It was a little trickier than I thought it would be. You have to push down so hard on the little guys hands and feet. Chad and I were both afraid we were hurting him- but Arlin didn’t seem to mind at all! Glad we did it to mark his three month progress…We did a foot and a hand, and wrote his name in the clay on the bottom. Now we just need to print a picture for the other dise of the frame.

With grandma visiting we decided we had to do a photo shoot. I am amazed at the size of my bugger…I took these clothes out of his closet this morning and thought I’d see how far out Arlin was from being able to wear them the pants are 6-9 months! They fit! I have to thank my Dad and Shelly for this adorable outfit! The onesie design looks like a tattoo that says “Mom”. After the photo shoot grandma and I took Arlin to Wagon Wheel so I could skate at open skate session and introduce my mom to a few of the derby girls. We stopped off for some mexican food on the way home…I actually drove home in the snow, all by myself! So proud.

Arlin’s Quilt…

Monday, December 31st, 2007

Arlin is one lucky little dude…grandma-pamaw custom made a quilt for Christmas. It says Arlin Jack Larsen, October 7th 2007… along with his birth weight 8lbs. 6oz. and his length 20 1/2″. this blanket is awesome…it’s just like one I had when I was a baby.

Cap…

Arlin in his new cap from Papa! Papa had to buy this for the little guy. I couldn’t help but laugh it was size 12 months…Yep, our little guy’s noggin is pretty big!
Arlin is getting so big and holding his head up so well for almost three months old.

true love…

True Love, one of the cutest tees in Arlin’s wardrobe, a custom creation of Abby’s! Look at the chubby cheeks, and arms! My little guy weighs almost sixteen pounds now. He can sit upright in his seat and interact with us and his toys. Everyday he does something new to amaze me. Today he pulled his pacifier out of his mouth and put it back in three times, I had to do a double take each time!

Ugly Mobile…

Thursday, December 20th, 2007

So, it must be documented. Daddy’s custom made mobile…

Chad went to Target by himself and purchased this mobile , but it just wasn’t custom enough for Master Arlin. So off to another store he went to get three miniature Ugly Dolls. Chad cam e home asking my Mom and I to find a way to replace the puppies that came on the mobile with these Ugly Dolls. With a little creativity we managed to get the Ugly Dolls to hang from the mobile. I thought it was super cool that Chad took the time to make something super custom for his favorite little guy. And I must say, Arlin thinks it’s the coolest!!!

Mini-Me…

Burnout Paradise…my boys playing video games. Funny, I can’t tell if Arlin really looks just like his papa or if it’s just the same hair do. Or should I say lack of papa’s hair, that makes them look identical. Chad and mini-me. Geez I love you guys.

For he’s a Jolly Good Fella’!

And the photo shoot begins! I am desperate to get that one great shot for the X-mas cards were ordering on shutterfly. So, I made sure little man ate. Then I gave him a bath and got him all dressed in his Christmas gear from Aunt Patty. Every time I dress him up I can’t get over how cute he is! I know… I’m partial here :) So, we’re on photo number 30 or so and Mr. Arlin decides that’s a wrap! He is so over it. I think I tried to many poses. And lately it seems all little man wants to do is eat. Well that and sleep!

* sidenote- notice in the bottom picture, Otis is tugging on Arlin’s booty… I swear he thinks every shoe of Arlin’s is a chew toy! It’s only funny for a minute till I can’t find one of everything.
