On the Move…

Saturday, July 26th, 2008

Grandma made Captain Jack the cutest darn bath towel I’ve ever seen! We use it all the time, Arlin thinks it’s pretty funny when I hold him up in front of the bathroom mirror and he can see himself with the frog on top his head.

He’s on the move I tell ya!… Tomorrow Chad and I are going to go “safety” shopping for the house. We need desperately to get the cabinet hook locks- cause little man has quite the reach from his walker- he loves to open cabinets and pull everything out!

Accomplishments this week- Arlin Jack cut the first upper front tooth. And the second one is peeking out- almost ready for the grand entrance. Chad & I call them the “chicklets”…cause if you ever seen chicklet gum…these are gonna be quite the pearly whites!
The captain has also officially grasped the concept of the sippy cup- he loves pear juice, and boy does he grunt like crazy when it’s all gone!

Every baby…

I think every baby needs a plate set that you keep for many years and give to them when they are adults and possibly have children themselves. My mom gave me mine during a visit to her house in AZ while I was pregnant with Arlin Jack.

Chad and I about died when we found this pirate set of kiddie dishes and silverware. My how times have changed from Snoopy and Cabbage Patch Kids.

The plate has a suction cup thingy on the bottom for a non-slip feature to the high chair or table-
So, Captain Jack may throw food at Mommy but not the plate! haha.

I can’t wait to break these bad boys out and use em’!!!

Some shots from Abby’s camera… The bruts! They grunt back and forth and each other, pull hair and nibble on each other…pure cuteness.

Pool time…

Tuesday Abby and I took the boys to the pool. We waited till the little men got their morning naps in so they would have a more pleasant time. Well that’s at least what we were shooting for. Arlin made our pool adventure a short lived trip, he is cutting his two front teeth and seems to be quite miserable the past couple of days. I went to Whole Foods and got some Clove oil to rub on his gum line- he hates the way it tastes, can’t say I blame him, I tried it myself. Motrin and cold wash cloths seem to be the only magic trick to work.

Arlin’s first 4th…

More pictures from the Fourth of July weekend up in Snowmass and Redstone. He is getting so bog so fast. He wants to walk so badly! I think it’s really just a matter of weeks for him to figure it out. Captain Jack is absolutely fearless when it comes to getting where he wants to go.

Movin’ on UP…

Arlin’s new rocker tee from Grandma…cutest boy band mama’s ever seen. This little guy is the official cruiser. He cannot sit still and he’s figured out the play pen is for babies. This guy needs to be movin’ and a shakin’ all the time. Today he mastered the walk from one end of the coffee table to the other end. Then he turned around and grabbed for the sofa, all while standing on his tippy toes! I think we’ll be walking before we know it. Yikes- I’m so not prepared for this kinda action!!!

Snapping a few shots of the kiddies yesterday morning. It was hysterical…Arlin Jack is the typical little brother-in the second pic where Stella is laughing Arlin was passing gas on his big sister’s lap. Stella couldn’t stop giggling…and soon neither could I. We had fun at the park later in the day.
