Overdue…

Monday, November 17th, 2008

Sorry folks for the delay in posting. Chad loaned our camera to Kozy to photograph all the Denver Roller Doll merchandise for online shopping on the website. But I figured out how to upload pictures from my i-phone! woo hoo…proud of myself- I even did it without Chad.
These pictures are of the Captain at the middle school on Washington St. just round the corner from us, I thought it be cool for Arlin to check the planets out…they’re all about his height, I think he thought the bark and sticks were cooler…all boy!

Walk…Walk…Walk!

again the uploading turned the picture sideways…but Arlin was about to launch himself head first down this slide, I swear he has no fear! And he loves girls!!! He is such a flirt!

Captain Jack is officially a walker! Bad Mommy…I forgot to send a news flash (sorry I’ve been feeling sick with the flu or something) Yep…on the 21st after a great afternoon nap and some new Nike kicks (well hammy downs)-he started walking in front of Chad and I…now it’s almost always he chooses to walk instead of crawl!

Baby in a basket…

No…we didn’t go very far with the baby in the basket!

It was just too tempting not to see if the Captain could fit in the basket on the front of my bike. He thought it was pretty cool for a minute- but honestly I think he thought the water bottle was cooler…

Weekend tour…

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

Sunday we went for a bike ride all around town. First to Wash Park, then to Spicy Pickle for lunch where Arlin ate cheese pizza for the first time!

…poor Stella had to eat fast before her little brother pestered her for more!

After lunch we rode to a new park at Harvard Gulch. We watched this park be constructed while we went to the pool over the summer. It’s pretty cool with a rock climbing wall and six different slides for all ages.

I’ll post more pictures- we snapped a bunch this weekend.

Today at the park…

Thursday, September 18th, 2008

Today I took the Captain for a run around Wash Park in his new tow behind bike/jogger trailer.

I packed his lunch and after my run once around the park, we found a shady place and camped out under the trees for a bit on Pamaws’ custom blanket, with the birds/geese/ducks whatever they were… Arlin loved hootin’ and hollern’ at em’!

He was also pretty excited to check out his trailer, he inspected all the zippers, tires, and straps he could reach and squeeled like a pig the entire time. You’d think he was doing something he wasn’t suppose to and getting away with it.

We had fun at the park- I plan on going as much as I can before the Colorado weather takes over and we’re tied to inside festivities.

Pictures in the Park…

Thank you Abby for remembering your camera! This Saturday we got to hang with the Woefel’s and chill out at our house and Platt Park. Otis came along for the park visit. Fun in the sun, it was really a perfect day, not too warm, not too breezy! Sunday morning Arlin crawled across the sofa for the t.v. remote! Stay tuned…for the action shot on Arlin Tube…yes folks we captured the first army crawl on video!

Platt Park…

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

Captain Jack and I went for a long walk almost to downtown Denver and then back to our neighborhood to hang out in Platt Park yesterday. We enjoyed each others company for a couple of hours laying on Captain Jack’s custom quilt made with love from Grandma, it was a beautiful warm day.
We tried out some new baby sun tan lotion that Chad and I picked up at the Wild Oats natural grocery store…yay it worked! No rosy cheeks or hamhocks this morning. Arlin is quite the mover and shaker these days. If you take his pants and socks off so he can get some friction going he is all over the place. I teased papa we’d have to invest in some knee pads for Arlin to learn how to crawl in our house…hence no carpet!
