Ride it… Live it…

Captain Jack’s new bomber jacket (from Master Sarge) came in the mail last week and I’ve been negligent to take pictures. Little side tracked I suppose.

But this jacket is SO cool! Master Sarge you picked a winner, and it’s plenty big enough for next winter….

Photo shoots aren’t as easy as they used to be. I remember the days I’d dress my guy up like a doll and perch him all over the house and take hundreds of pictures…Now, I’m baiting him with cookies (cornbread)

“Arlin, please…just humor Mama for a minute and stand up straight…”

He’s definitely learning he has leverage if Mama’s not on her A game!

“You take my picture?!”

“Cookie Mama?”

*note to self; cornbread + 2 yr. old boy= a mighty crumbly mess!

P.S. Mom- the Knex blocks arrived yesterday via UPS…today were building Mt. Rainer…’cause lord only knows we now have enough blocks to build fort knox for a small army! Thanks….he was SO excited when he accidentally set off the talking cowboy Elmo…pictures coming soon, promise. xo

It’s true… the Captain has his own pair of True Religion baby jeans!

Thank you uncle Marco and Aunt Sarah!

I put these bad boy jeans on him yesterday to see how far off they’d fit and I couldn’t believe they fit! Size 2T. Well, as you can see they have quite the cuff action going on…but the belly area seems to be just snug enough they don’t fall off, yay!

The Captain will be wearing these gems daily!

My guy…

Had a little photo shoot here…in the backyard before I raked up all the leaves, again. (man, I can’t keep up with them) My guy, he is seriously the coolest cat around. I was feeling down the other day- it’s like Arlin knew I wasn’t myself…he kept giving me hugs and touching my face…melts my heart everyday.

Italian Silk!

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

Thank you Morgan and Molly for this adorable Italian silk outfit! They picked it up on their travels through Scilly. The shirt and pants are silk and the little vest is linen, the whole outfit was hand made. It’s gorgeous… and so is my little guy don’t cha’ think!!! But Mama’s kind of bias!

My lil’ legend..

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

Just snapped a few shots…just got done reading the story “Frog and the Princess.” I thought of Palmer Sioux and Abby when I bought this cute t-shirt for Arlin at the outlet malls, had they had another one Palmer would have been in business with a new tee, cause he’s officially the boxer out these two little guys! :)
We’ve had construction guys at the house last few days so Captain Jack and I have been trying to stay out of the way…All toys have been relocated to the upstairs studio area. I am not looking forward to the length of this project, but I suppose slate floors will be well worth the wait!

Time Progression…fun

Above today March 4,2008

Above January 14,2008

And the above picture was taken December 12,2007

Wow, how time flies. March 7th Arlin will be 5 months old. He is such a big boy. Rice cereal is going good, no tummy problems so we are on our way to some banana or pear mixed cereals within the next couple of weeks. Although I’m not in an hurry to get captain Jack hooked on
foods- cause this guy likes to eat!

Papa’s Lil’ Pirate…

Friday, February 29th, 2008

I swear I fall in love with this little guy all over again…Everyday! Are these not the cutest darn pictures?! I’m one lucky mom to have such a handsome boy. We had fun styling the hair and playing with our cowboy boots this morning.

Doin’ the Do…

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

Mom’s getting a little hair do going for Master Arlin. Daddy calls it the baby hawk. I have fun doing it in the morning and it seems to stay for awhile. He really is starting to giggle when people interact with him. It’s a rare occasion that he won’t smile if you’re talking to him. I think he is getting use to the camera- ya think?! Ha.

marshmellow- blue

Monday, December 31st, 2007

Aunt Patty sent us this cute little leisure suit! It gave us all a few laughs. Alrin looked like a little blue marshmellow in it! But it was extra warm and a perfect outfit to take little man to Boulder for the day. We went on a hunt for a quilting fabric shop that my mom spotted in a quilter magazine, they supposedly had really cool vintage reproduction fabrics, but we lucked out- they were closed when we got there. Oh, well…we still had fun in downtown Boulder we ate lunch at the Rio and walked around the outdoor shopping area for a bit.
