I think the Captain feels “important”…he wants to put it on and off like every two seconds!

dsc01461

trying to get the two of them to look at the camera at the same time is simply impossible!

Thank you Pamaw… Stella and Arlin both love their new aprons and as you can see they offered some afternoon entertainment for them both!

admiring the doggy across the street. Are all doggies bigger than Otis…the Captain loves watching big dogs.

Oh, thank you thank you! Today when I picked up Arlin from school his teacher said he was really fussy all day, let loose with some screaming and a few crying fits. I figured I was in for a real picnic the rest of the day. He was crashed out asleep in the car before I could even pull in the drive way. I carried him into the house and he was like a sack of potatoes, didn’t budge at all, went down for his nap with “Kitty” and slept for 2 hours!

I was showered from the gym and painting onesies waiting for the Captain to get up… I was very pleasantly surprised when he roused from his nap. We had such an awesome day together. Ate a huge lunch, went for a walk, played in the backyard for a bit and his playroom upstairs, had dinner, and a bath and went down for the night without a peep.

Words are forming…you can hear the gears in his noggin’ turning 100 miles an hour. He gets dressed for school with minimal help, and now potties in his diaper still but standing in the big boy bathroom. It’s really funny actually if you ask Arlin if he’s Poop’d he nods No and gives you totally crooked smile.

We’re growing up…

Little Bearpaw calling Pamaw

Friday, November 7th, 2008

These slippers are hysterical! I love them… Arlin cruises around the house quite well in them too. I snapped these pictures the other night while cooking dinner. I’ve been trying to baby proof certain areas of the house a little more so I can allow little man to get his cruise on, cause he really isn’t having any part of of his playpen lately…haha…Papa calls it the “baby cage”

Get better Pamaw!

Thanks to Abby for snapping these shots of the little guys last time she watched Arlin, I think the week before I went to Vegas for RollerCon so I could get my hair done- geez it’s been awhile since I’ve taken some pictures of the Captain.
I think Grandma’s going crazy- She has no blogs to peek at over her morning cup of joe! uh oh…I’ll try to catch up and snap some pictures this week…promise!
Keep that foot up and rest grandma! We want you in tip top shape for your visit in October- cause the Captain might be walking for his first Birthday!

Fun in the Sun with Grandma!

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

Captain Jack and I took our first venture on an airplane last week to visit Grandma and meet Great Grandpa Fred who is 83 years old now. We had lots of fun wearing our summer clothes and making our own pool in Grandma’s back yard. Who knew a blue bucket and some H20 could be so much fun! Arlin was pretty well behaved considering he’s teething and all. The plane ride to AZ was a little ruff, he let out a few hollers here and there stressing mama out, but after a bottle he was fast asleep. I’ll post more pictures of Great Grandpa Fred…

Keepsake

Monday, December 31st, 2007

I picked up this keepsake at Target, thought it would be fun for Chad, my Mom and I to do with Arlin over the holidays. It was a little trickier than I thought it would be. You have to push down so hard on the little guys hands and feet. Chad and I were both afraid we were hurting him- but Arlin didn’t seem to mind at all! Glad we did it to mark his three month progress…We did a foot and a hand, and wrote his name in the clay on the bottom. Now we just need to print a picture for the other dise of the frame.

Arlin’s Quilt…

Monday, December 31st, 2007

Arlin is one lucky little dude…grandma-pamaw custom made a quilt for Christmas. It says Arlin Jack Larsen, October 7th 2007… along with his birth weight 8lbs. 6oz. and his length 20 1/2″. this blanket is awesome…it’s just like one I had when I was a baby.

For grandma…

Thursday, December 13th, 2007
Good morning Paddington Bear! These pictures are especially for grandma!…I was hoping to get some good shots of Arlin for our X-mas cards, but I couldn’t get him to dig the camera-he knew what was up and he didn’t really feel like hamin’ it up today. Maybe tomorrow.

I just read an email from “Pamaw” informing me that this very Paddington Bear was made for me by her for my first Christmas. Wow, my Paddington Bear is 30 years old, and still in one piece. But even more strange, I picked it up this morning out of Arlin’s stuffed friends to try and get a Christmas photo with it- his first Christmas…kinda ironic…and really cool.
