Today’s the official day. Arlin Jack turned 2yr.!!! (& Mama managed to get all emotional)
bright and cheery after his nap time today the Captain opened a special birthday present from his favorite Montessori school teacher, Mrs. Lindsay!
Lindsay shared with me today that Arlin plays with this a lot at school.
I was shocked to hear him him squeal the word PLAY-DOh!
so excited! There are so many pieces to play with…
yeah!!!
open sesame! so focused…
so animated, telling Mama all about his new digs.
We’ve been carrying the play-doh tool box around today…and of course we had to show Papa when he was finished working what it was all about too. Thank you Syd and Mrs. Lindsay!!
Wiped out…we didn’t even make it all the way home from school and Arlin crashed out. I was talking to him, asking him how his day at school was… and he was right there with me in the conversation, talking and giggling, then all the sudden it got really quiet…
Next stop light I turned around to look…at this my friends…was it.
Poor guy, we kept Arlin up way past his bedtime last night to attend a workshop at his new Montessori school. I thought today might be kind of rough… and Mama was right.
Arlin’s new walker from Pamaw and Grandpa Sarge. …he digs this toy! His favorite thing is to open the Peek-a-Boo barn door he laughs everytime like it’s the first time his heard it…so easily amused.
The Pirate Ship cake…thanks for the help Mom- there’s no way I could have pulled it off without you and your research! ingredients; Hershey Bar chocolate/plank top, pretzel squares/port holes/, wafer twist/steer of the ship…and the rest lots and lots of frosting!
It’s going to take Mama some time to resize all of Arlin Jack’s 1st Birthday pictures and post em’. Check out the family gallery that Chad made to see all the pictures- I’ve uploaded most of them there. Arlin’s Birthday went really well… More than I could ask for, Arlin was able to nap right before the party started, putting him in a good mood for the gift un-wrapping and cake! Pamaw was here to help out with everything and I could not have pulled it off without her! The cake/s were a masterpiece by the way- pictures coming stay tuned… P.S….pamaw we miss you already!
So Chad and I happen to stumble upon these gems at a local toy store. I think mama’s just been inspired. I might not be able to pull off the masterpiece guide-craft retro rocker boat…but hey I am on a mission to paint some chairs, table and a treasure chest toy box. In fact I think captain Jack is going to get a Pirate themed play area for his Birthday….stay tuned folks…
