Army aprons for the kitchen…

dsc01464

I think the Captain feels “important”…he wants to put it on and off like every two seconds!

dsc01461

trying to get the two of them to look at the camera at the same time is simply impossible!

Stella is one patient big sister…

dsc01457

when it comes to her… “pest-Y”…little brother!

(no- this picture was NOT staged)

Thank you Pamaw… Stella and Arlin both love their new aprons and as you can see they offered some afternoon entertainment for them both!

Arlin?? Where are you??

dsc01263

Ha! I found you…it really did have me startled for a minute…this is a first time adventure for the Captain.

dsc01264

It was funny…till he was stuck. I had to lift the sofa and tug him free.

dsc01285

breakfast during the blizzard…

dsc01281

the Captain offered free entertainment for Papa and I. Arlin Jack got out his dinosaur slippers (from his Halloween costume) and made Papa put them on.

the Captain’s custom cleaning station…

dsc01280

I hung it up while he was napping. When he woke…it’s the first thing he noticed, I swear this guy doesn’t miss a beat.

dsc01279

not even 10 minutes after discovery he managed to rip the rack right off the wall. Anchoring it with massive screws was on our weekend “Honey Do” list.

It was a real treat to hang for a week in the morning with my guy.  But boy oh boy did we get cabin fever with all the snow. I think the Captain is going to be thrilled to get back to school next week. However I was happy we managed to get well over the past five days. No runny nose or cough and man o’ man Arlin Jack has his appetite back and then some! I swear he eats more than we do!!! I think he is in a serious growing spurt. Big meals, and long naps! It’s good news that Pamaw is booking travel to Denver soon!

“If You think I’m Cute…You should see my Uncle Hans!”

dsc00924
Just like Papa…little Big Head John… seriously look at the size of that noggin’! Papa says it’s storing the next Einstein brain it has to be BIG.

dsc00923

This tee shirt cracked both Chad and I up when we got it in the mail. Uncle Hans (or Hanzerfest as we call him ’round here) sent us this hilarious tee from Key West Florida when he was down there for Valentines Day weekend. I promised Hans I would post a picture of the Captain wearing his new slogan tee…so here it is UNCLE HANS…(we are so proud of you) xo

Stick em’ up!

Having a little fun with the Captain last night…

St. Jude stickers galore.

They were stuck all over his little fingers. He stormed around the kitchen for 15 minutes swatting his arms in the air trying to get them all off, then he gave up and plopped down on the floor and tried eating them off, occassionally stuffing his hand in Otis’ mouth for help!

ahaha…being silly with Arlin is fun.

Cashmere Kicks…

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

The cruiser. The crawler. Everywhere and into everything. If it’s not bolted down or nailed to the wall little man has captured it. Full flight of stairs with no hesitation…could care less where Mom is!

I let him climb as far as he wanted to go…following right behind with the camera, to the landing he went. (Geez looks like we need to invest in a few more baby gates.)

This past weekend Chad and I went shopping for shoes for the Captain. We found the ones his wearing int he pictures in a Cherry Creek boutique…
Yep, leave it to Chad to find something couture! These kicks are made by Gwen Stefani (the rock-star) her label is called LAMB…I’m not joking these shoes are hysterical, they say…

“Rollin’ in Cashmere”

in cursive writing down the side of em’….

Ahahha. I want a pair! They feel like slippers. They’re supposedly designed so that you don’t have to put socks on first…cause they’re really soft inside with no exposed Velcro or itchy stitching. Oh, gotta love Papa- only the best for his mini-me!

Morning fun…

We watched Eebee Baby together this morning, geez, can I just tell you how this little guy melts my heart. I miss him already and I’m not even gone!

Stud Muffin…

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

“Stud Muffin seeks Cupcake”
…must be nice and sweet!!!”

I died laughing when I found this onesie at Target the other day. Arlin is wearing his new Hurley jeans in these pictures they came in the mail from Pamaw (with a bunch of adorable clothes!)… they are size 18 months! As I tease about Captain Jack being our little lamb chop…I actually think he is starting to taper off on the weight gain. He is finally doin’ the scoot! he can get up on his knees and if something is there to tug on he’ll pull himself up.
Chad and I have to drop the mattress down in his crib. I came in to get him up from his nap and he was up on both his knees holding onto the side crib rail. I thought I was gonna have a heart attack, he could have launched himself right over the side! I guess it’s time to make some adjustments around the house! Last night we actually picked up a gate for the top of the stairs…so we don’t have to worry about him in his pooh bear walker.

Fun in the Sun with Grandma!

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

Captain Jack and I took our first venture on an airplane last week to visit Grandma and meet Great Grandpa Fred who is 83 years old now. We had lots of fun wearing our summer clothes and making our own pool in Grandma’s back yard. Who knew a blue bucket and some H20 could be so much fun! Arlin was pretty well behaved considering he’s teething and all. The plane ride to AZ was a little ruff, he let out a few hollers here and there stressing mama out, but after a bottle he was fast asleep. I’ll post more pictures of Great Grandpa Fred…

Rain Forest FUN…

Friday, April 18th, 2008

One of my derby friends has loaned us this rain forest activity jumper to use until Arlin Jack out grows it. And as you can see Arlin is in love all over again. He hasn’t stopped smiling. It’s all new fun…the seat can spin all around and is supported by three bouncy cables enabling him to go to town jumping up and down! There are two tropical leaves with a bird and frog hanging above him to swat at and there are toys that spin, light up and play music on his tray around him! I feel lucky to have the chance in borrowing this toy, cause they are a bit pricey in the stores, and you can only use them for a short while.
