on to the next…

at first I thought it was Stella’s bike he was after…

makin’ room…need clearance!

dsc01224

he wanted the small blue bike that was behind Stella’s cruiser…and boy was he determined!

I decided to help the Captain out…

dsc01225

And pulled the blue bike out for him…”Does he even know what to do with it?” I thought to myself…

dsc01226

YES…he sure does! This is me holding the bicycle with one hand ( a bicycle with no training wheels I might add!) and taking the picture with the other hand…while the Captain climbs right on up!

with two flats tires…he wasn’t exactly easy to push around the backyard on flagstone.

I’m over the runny nose! Add that to the Mommy list….windex, spray n’ wash, and kleenex! I should buy stock in all three!  Spring Break is all next week. Captain will be out of school- maybe we’ll have time to de-snot our little guy?! I’m hopeful to get my little guy healthy and spend some quality time with him!

I hollered at Chad to come downstairs to see the Captain on the bicycle today…I was totally blown away and I think Papa was surprised too. He is fearless, it’s so cool to watch him explore (and it’s totally scary at the same time) He is all BOY.

Papa and I both turned to each other and said it’s time to get the Captain his first bike, o.k. maybe trike! Just in time for summer!

Feeling much better…

Spring is coming…

I could feel it in the air today…

nothing better than a little vitamin D for the Captain, Mama and Otis.

I broke out some cleaning supplies to knock the dust off Stella’s old slide.

he loves the slide. no fear climbing the staircase part…then he looks like a dear in headlights at the top…needs to make sure Mama is close by for his descent.

I actually broke a sweat today raking all the winter leaves in the backyard in between playing with the Captain. He is feeling much better! He was actually doing laps around the dining room table chasing Otis this morning- it was a sure tail sign he was good to go and return back to school. He got really excited when we pulled up in the car to his school this morning- and was even more excited to see all his buddies once inside.

Mama can relax now- The Captain is back to his usual spirit!

Mama’s 1st Mother’s Day!

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

We went to Abby and Kiko’s for Mother’s Day and barbecued in their back yard. It was hysterical to watch Palmer and Arlin baby cage fight in the pack-n-play. They are total buds now and they can actually entertain each other for quite a while. Arlin has been Mr. Fussy pants lately…he is totally teething. I’m just waiting for the pearly white smile one morning!

Fun in the Sun with Grandma!

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

Captain Jack and I took our first venture on an airplane last week to visit Grandma and meet Great Grandpa Fred who is 83 years old now. We had lots of fun wearing our summer clothes and making our own pool in Grandma’s back yard. Who knew a blue bucket and some H20 could be so much fun! Arlin was pretty well behaved considering he’s teething and all. The plane ride to AZ was a little ruff, he let out a few hollers here and there stressing mama out, but after a bottle he was fast asleep. I’ll post more pictures of Great Grandpa Fred…

a warm day in February…

Today was so nice! It 70 degrees! Arlin and I went for a walk around Wash Park then came home and played in the backyard. I got some really great pictures, but I think these are my favorites.
