Rain Forest FUN…

April 18th, 2008

One of my derby friends has loaned us this rain forest activity jumper to use until Arlin Jack out grows it. And as you can see Arlin is in love all over again. He hasn’t stopped smiling. It’s all new fun…the seat can spin all around and is supported by three bouncy cables enabling him to go to town jumping up and down! There are two tropical leaves with a bird and frog hanging above him to swat at and there are toys that spin, light up and play music on his tray around him! I feel lucky to have the chance in borrowing this toy, cause they are a bit pricey in the stores, and you can only use them for a short while.

Out Walkin’…

April 17th, 2008

Tuesday this week the weather was amazing! It was so warm and sunny. Arlin and I walked to the Wild Oats market about five blocks from our house, to get some “green” laundry detergent and some homeopathic all natural teething tablets a friend suggested for his teething discomfort.
We stopped by a couple different places to hand out some derby season schedules and say hi…it was so nice to be outside. I can not wait for the summer months and our family vacation coming up in June…to the Florida Keys we go! Arlin’s first time to the beach! (oh, how mama misses the beach sometimes!)

Sunday Playtime…

April 15th, 2008

Sunday it was a warm sunny day, almost a summer tease. I let Arlin play around upstairs in the studio in his polo short outfit with no socks. I got these pictures, my favorite of the bunch. He is getting very vocal…shhh it’s a secret but I think monkey’s first word is gonna be Mama, we have a video that we’ll post tonight! You can listen and tell me what you think…but I hear “mama”!!!!

Two more pics. from Thursday! I love the top one!!! So cute…Abby’s right, they are turning into little boys, growing so fast! We were talking and came to the conclusion we haven’t been utilizing each other enough to baby sit so each of us can have a day or night away…something every parent needs now and and then! Stay tuned for Arlin and I watching Palmer…May 2nd. I ‘ll make sure and get some great pictures and maybe some video footage with our new video camera!

Aunt Abby…

April 13th, 2008

Aunt Abby baby sat Captain Jack on Thursday afternoon so mama could get her hair done before the big derby bout on Friday. I tried to keep little man awake all morning hoping he’d tucker out for Abby and take a nap while over at her house. But as I text Abby to check in and see how everything was going…Abby replied “you can tell Arlin is sooo tired but he is too fascinated with Palmer to take a nap!” They are so funny together! Thank you Abby…Arlin and I owe you!

Brisk Walk…

April 4th, 2008

Yesterday all three boys went for a walk…

Papa, Captain Jack, and Reverend Otis Maximus!

Arlin has been kind of fussy lately, I’m pretty sure it’s a combination of teething and I think he may have a little cold going on. Whenever little man is fighting sleep a walk does the job! You can pretty much guarantee by the time you get home he’s out like a light.

And indeed when the boys got home Arlin was fast asleep…and Rev. Otis was right behind him, tuckered out he put himself in his crate. And mama was off to derby practice for the night.

Something new…

March 31st, 2008

I sat Arlin in his hamy-down “Pooh Bear” walker from one of Chad’s buddies. Funny, Arlin LOVED it but I was afraid to leave him in it too long cause S-H-O-R-T-Y pie here can’t reach the floor just yet. (didn’t want to cut his circulation off)

Yes folks, I know…it’s hard to believe… that Chad’s little guy isn’t tall enough to ride this ride.

ahaha.

Arlin and I were again held captive to the upstairs studio while the construction downstairs continued on!

Our Escapeeee!

March 30th, 2008

We went out for Sushi Friday night to a place called Osaka’s on Colorado Blvd. we had never been there before but it was recommended by a few different friends so we thought we’d try it out. Arlin ate when we were eating and as you can see in the first picture his belly was full enough to pop the button on his pants!

Papa Says…”Well he’s definitely Italian!”

We both got a good laugh! As dinner progressed captain Jack’s patience wore thin. The next two pictures are him trying to escape his car seat!!!

Red MonkeY…

March 28th, 2008

This little red monkey came in an Easter package from my Dad and Shelly. Arlin thinks it’s pretty cool. The eye balls spin around and clank when you shake it. Lot’s of slobbery fun…Of course we’re bound to playing upstairs staying out of the way from the remodeling madness!

The end…

March 24th, 2008

Easter afternoon I came into Arlin’s room to finish dressing him so we could go get some lunch. This is exactly how I found him…So cute. This doggy book from Abby has been fascinating him the past couple days… he flips the pages back and forth and eats the doggy tail on the back cover. Arlin can officially roll over both ways, I’ve even come into to find him facing the opposite way I laid him down. He definitely cannot be left unattended anymore on the sofa…cause he might just roll off!
