Look Grandma!
May 22nd, 2008Pictures in the Park…
May 19th, 2008Thank you Abby for remembering your camera! This Saturday we got to hang with the Woefel’s and chill out at our house and Platt Park. Otis came along for the park visit. Fun in the sun, it was really a perfect day, not too warm, not too breezy! Sunday morning Arlin crawled across the sofa for the t.v. remote! Stay tuned…for the action shot on Arlin Tube…yes folks we captured the first army crawl on video!

“Stud Muffin seeks Cupcake”
…must be nice and sweet!!!”
I died laughing when I found this onesie at Target the other day. Arlin is wearing his new Hurley jeans in these pictures they came in the mail from Pamaw (with a bunch of adorable clothes!)… they are size 18 months! As I tease about Captain Jack being our little lamb chop…I actually think he is starting to taper off on the weight gain. He is finally doin’ the scoot! he can get up on his knees and if something is there to tug on he’ll pull himself up.
Chad and I have to drop the mattress down in his crib. I came in to get him up from his nap and he was up on both his knees holding onto the side crib rail. I thought I was gonna have a heart attack, he could have launched himself right over the side! I guess it’s time to make some adjustments around the house! Last night we actually picked up a gate for the top of the stairs…so we don’t have to worry about him in his pooh bear walker.
Mama’s 1st Mother’s Day!
May 13th, 2008

We went to Abby and Kiko’s for Mother’s Day and barbecued in their back yard. It was hysterical to watch Palmer and Arlin baby cage fight in the pack-n-play. They are total buds now and they can actually entertain each other for quite a while. Arlin has been Mr. Fussy pants lately…he is totally teething. I’m just waiting for the pearly white smile one morning!
Platt Park…
May 7th, 2008

Captain Jack and I went for a long walk almost to downtown Denver and then back to our neighborhood to hang out in Platt Park yesterday. We enjoyed each others company for a couple of hours laying on Captain Jack’s custom quilt made with love from Grandma, it was a beautiful warm day.
We tried out some new baby sun tan lotion that Chad and I picked up at the Wild Oats natural grocery store…yay it worked! No rosy cheeks or hamhocks this morning. Arlin is quite the mover and shaker these days. If you take his pants and socks off so he can get some friction going he is all over the place. I teased papa we’d have to invest in some knee pads for Arlin to learn how to crawl in our house…hence no carpet!
Growing…
May 5th, 2008
I can’t help but look at these pictures and think that my baby is turning into a little boy! He can totally sit up on his own, he is rolling over both ways and even beginning to get his knees up underneath him every once in awhile. Captain Jack’s diet is expanding we’ve tried apples, bananas, pears, winter squash, butter nut squash, carrots and peas and we like em’ all! Arlin is definitely teething he thinks everything is a chew toy and the slobber seems like it comes in bucket loads…but he is the cutest thing ever!
Hangin’ with Palmer Sioux!
May 2nd, 2008Today we had a play date with Palmer Sioux. The boys had lots of fun battling for toys, swatting each other and talking away! Surprisingly enough they both managed to get in a 25 minute nap with the 3 or so hours Palmer was over. I got lots of pictures and some video too! I’ll post the video after the weekend! I told Abby we have to do this more often, Arlin learned some sweet moves from Palmer, like getting his knees up under him. I tell ya’ Palmer’s gonna be crawling with the blink of an eye!
Fun in the Sun with Grandma!
April 29th, 2008

Captain Jack and I took our first venture on an airplane last week to visit Grandma and meet Great Grandpa Fred who is 83 years old now. We had lots of fun wearing our summer clothes and making our own pool in Grandma’s back yard. Who knew a blue bucket and some H20 could be so much fun! Arlin was pretty well behaved considering he’s teething and all. The plane ride to AZ was a little ruff, he let out a few hollers here and there stressing mama out, but after a bottle he was fast asleep. I’ll post more pictures of Great Grandpa Fred…
