modeling his new outfit…(he put his own hands in his pockets, swear) Papa Loves! this outfit…
watch out G-Q.
then Mama had to come along and interrupt the fashion debut… she was too impatient to get a shot of the Moo-seY tee she made the Capt. it’s So cute to hear him say Moo-Sey.
game over.
Rockin’ his new pajamas from Pamaw…even his new Moo-seY slippers…these things are awesome and came in perfect timing for the freezing weather we’ve been having!
his new favorite cereal, Annie’s Honey Bunnies…tastes pretty sugary to Mama.
It snowed Saturday. Can you believe it…it’s not suppose to snow till Halloween. It was a cold weekend. And the Captain had a really runny nose so we stayed home Saturday and watched movies. Chad’s sick too. Sunday we went down to Castle Rock outlets to get the kids some winter clothes…Children’s Place- you can’t beat there prices!
first time in his new sandbox…Chad built it during nap time on Sunday while I gardened, we waited for Stella to get here to show him his new backyard toy.
gotta love Craigslist Chad and I have wanted to get the Captain a sandbox for awhile now, it’s the first thing he goes for at any playground these days…but they’re pretty pricy. I posted a wanted AD and within a week a mom with buyers remorse and an open box unable to be returned… we were the lucky new owners of this sand haven.
sand…wiches! Yep a mouthful of sand. yukky.
the top cranks down keeps the leaves and bugs out…hopefully
pure entertainment, he loves it.
snack time this afternoon before we picked up “Sissy” from summer camp…he loves California Cutie tangerines!
dinner, pizza on the patio.
I must have said…”sit down Arlin” 20 times.
thought he was pretty clever till he found out his big noggin couldn’t squeeze through.
swinging like a monkey he thought he could swindle his way out…
and the nut-roll begins. Mama to the rescue!
Could you say no to this face? Especially when he says…”Elp…Peeease” and he signs it too.
fed and ready for some water play, Arlin Jack chases both Stella and the dog.
oops… got himself.
a few times!
Stella spiking up the Captain’s hair.
my guy. He’s had a rough couple of days. Dealing with a little separation anxiety from me (Mama) not sure where it’s coming from but, I’m hoping it’s just a phase cause it breaks my heart to have him break down when I drop him off at school, this morning I cried as I drove away. It’s just not like him. In this picture above I was actually trying to get a close up shot of his chin, moments before we left to get Stella today Arlin Jack fell off one the barstools onto the kitchen slate floor as I was putting the left over snacks into the fridge…Uh, the cry he let out, I thought for sure when I lifted him up off the ground his arm was going to be broken then looking at his face he had a bloody lip. My heart sank, I literally thought I was headed to the emergency room-Again! Really dude?Twice in one week??!… I calmed him down and then pinned him down for an examination, all good except a goose egg on his chin and I think he bit the inside of his lip, causing it to puff up a bit, but all teeth and jaw were intact. I’m telling you all now, this kid is going to shave years off my life if he keeps this pace up!
Chad’s flight was cancelled, and he’s stuck in Montana, as he describes it- stuck in the Napoleon Dynamite movie…we’re all going stir crazy waiting for him to get home. Poor Arlin is missing Papa like crazy, he calls for him through out the day and wears or carries his shoes around the house.
Saturday Chad and I took Arlin and Stella to Pirates Cove. I packed us all lunch and some drinks, glad I did, the food at the park was yukky.
Stella showing Arlin just how it’s done…
The Captain wasn’t too sure about the water squirter, it was fun till it hit him in the face!
watching “Siss-E” as he calls her.
pool time.
Sunday we went to the park I had Arlin Jack’s baby shower, and took Arlin and Stella on the train ride around the park and into the petting zoo. I’ll have to pull the pictures of the petting zoo off chad’s camera. While we were inside the sheep and pig corral the pig started play fighting with one of the sheep and to my surprise nibbled my leg after pommeling a poor toddler little girl standing nearby. Arlin was right next to me and I think it startled him just as much as me…I scooped the Captain up and bee lined it straight out of the pen squealing the whole way. Chad and Stella thought it was pretty funny…
I thought it was funny the troublemaker pig’s name was “Stella!”
walking up the creek at the park.
Miss Stella sporting some of her new duds, glad they fit and she said are “comfy, comfy!”
Arlin wasn’t too sure about the clowns…and the balloons went straight to the mouth!
little man on a mission…
Papa had to reel the Captain in a few times…
towards the end the Captain had a short fuse…
Mama helping Stella make a sand bottle thingy…
Stella rock climbing…she literally rocked it! Was behind for the take off and in seconds was at the top and back down before the other kids were half way up!
The Captain is definitely teething. If not a pacifier, he’ll chew on anything! After failing to get Mama’s earring he went to chew on my scarf.
Chad and I in the Denver Convention Center.
Stella and Anna Maria, after Miss Stella got her “POP-Rock” UP-ity hair do! (Grandma even got glitter too!)
Today we got super lucky to get Stella for the afternoon and take her to a Disney kids event at the downtown Denver Convention center that Grandma and Grandpa Anna Maria and Les told us about early this morning. They met us there for the fun.
Stella had a blast with all the booths set up, there were prize winning games, big bouncy slides, a rock climbing wall (that she was amazing at- I might tell ya’) and a live music show with the youngest girls currently recording music. These girls I guess are on the Disney Channel so we took Stella to check it all out, while Grandpa took the Captain to the other side of the event to a toddler tumble gym place and had some fun.
Everyone had a great time and we only wish could have kept Stella with us to enjoy some Gelato!
could this brother and sister be any cuter?
Miss Stella Vita…well on her way to a candy & cupcake sugar high…
Arlin made all the rounds…Mrs. Boyat, Stella’s teacher and Lucas’ Mom (one of Stella’s good buddies) all held the Captain for a bit…
he had to measure up everything around him!
poor Stell had to think fast and keep her little brother’s paws out of her desk!
I think he “squeeked” when we gave him a mini cupcake of his own!
he fit right in…
Stella…”Ella” as Arlin calls her is SUCH a good big sister. She loves her little brother dearly. And boy let me tell you…this little guy thinks she’s magical.
Arlin sat on Stella’s lap for a music game…he even danced a little with the kids.
I am so glad Anna Maria (Chad’s Mom) and I made our way up the mountain to Stella’s Valentine’s Day school party. Arlin was SOOO excited to see his big sister. He marched right in and reached up to sit on her lap. He didn’t miss a beat and was right with the action the entire time. I’m pretty sure Stella got a kick out of showin’ off her baby brother to her fellow classmates too.
After the party we drove Miss Stella to her Mom’s work at the bottom of the mountain to drop her off. Arlin cried when Stella walked away from the car and reached his little hand towards the window for her…it about broke my heart, both Anna Maria and I teared up. This isn’t the first time Arlin has gotten upset when Stella has left us for the weekend. I can only imagine it’s going to get harder the more attached they grow. *sigh*
